Historic Houses of Ireland: Opening the Past to Inspire the Future

Historic Houses of Ireland is proud to celebrate the theme of "Exploring our Foundations" for Heritage Week 2025 (August 16th to 24th)!  

Exploring Our Foundations” invites us to delve into the building blocks of our heritage; not just the structures, but the landscapes and cultural activities that have shaped us:  traditions, landscapes, skills, and stories that impact on us and our communities. 

Our members will be kicking off the week by taking part in the exciting new Heritage Open Doors initiative on August 16th and 17th, giving visitors an opportunity to explore homes that are not normally open to the public. Please see our separate Heritage Open Doors page for details.
